Durand Jones & The Indications - Let's Take Our Time / Flower Moon (7" 45)

Durand Jones & The Indications - Let's Take Our Time / Flower Moon (7" 45)

RANDOM COLOR VINYL IS LIMITED TO 500 COPIES WORLDWIDE

Following their beloved 2025 album, Flowers, ā€œLet’s Take Our Timeā€ is warm and romantic, made for swaying close and savoring the moment.

Frazer says of the track, "’Let’s Take Our Time’ is a tribute to old school courtship. The kind that thrives in anticipation and letting the excitement build slowly. One of the things we do best as a band is make music that’s easy to dance to, especially for people who don’t always like dancing. The music is sweet but the rhythm is tough, made for a two-step that works on a humid dance floor or a slow dance with your crush."

The new single follows 2025’s Flowers, The Indications’ fourth album. On Flowers the group leaned into a particular desire to return to their roots in a Bloomington basement, a space where they first found camaraderie in gritty funk and Southern soul that would inspire their self-titled debut. Just as they did on that 2016 release, The Indications prioritized close-knit collaboration while creating Flowers. Much of the self-produced album was written together at Rhein's Chicago home studio, and many tracks are based on one-take demos - proof that vibes were particularly high, each member pulling from their refined tool kits with ease.
